Six Sentence Sunday--The Tourist Trap

Here's a sneak peek of one of my coming soon books, The Tourist Trap.  A romantic comedy coming soon, this one is more a comedy scene than a sexy one.

Blurb:

She chose money over love.

Moving to New York years ago, Phoebe Winters knew the only way to make it to the top was to buckle down and work harder than she ever had before.  Ten years later and she is a bestselling romance author who steams up the glasses of women—and some men—worldwide.  But for what? The man she loved asked that she tour all of the must-see sights the city had to offer and she refused, choosing to work instead.  He’s gone, lost in the past.  A letter to the 1Night Stand service asking for a romance hero in real life begs the question…can a real man be as good as the ones she writes?

He is drowning in family.

Nathanial Parnell is a good Italian boy.  He loves his family and would do anything for them but he is ready to start a family of his own.  Finding the right woman?  Since none meet the high standards he wants, he contacts Madame Eve for a set-up.  When his mother demands a trip to New York City to see the sights, he agrees to show her the time of her life.  But one city slick woman seems determined to ruin their day out, making him risk running late to meet the woman of his dreams…even if fighting Phoebe makes him feel more alive than he has in years.

What could be more romantic?

From SoHo to the Statue of Liberty, Phoebe and Nathanial both seek their planned day and neither find it. Phoebe is on a trip to recapture the past, Nathanial on a journey to please others.  Will Phoebe pass up another chance at love?  Or will they both fall into a Tourist Trap?

The Six
“I know, Mom.  But look, she’s okay.”  The man towering over her looked like a cover model from one of her books.  Golden hair hung in a shining cap around a face as wholesome as apple pie.

“I’m not okay,” she advised him.  “You hit me with a car.”

Six Sentence Sunday ~ Dom of the Dead

So, in a conversation with a friend during an author chat, the idea of a BDSM ghost story came up.  When the friend said, "Write it," those two words spurred me to create Dom of the Dead.

Warning, this is a D/s story so if that isn't your cuppa, today's blog is not for you.

If it is, here's the blurb!

She couldn’t imagine living without him.

When Carson Black’s longtime crush and best friend dies in a bike accident, she openly weeps at his funeral. Never expressing her feelings for him, she thinks she might be going mad from grief when his voice, his scent, his desires…seem to fill her apartment.

He was afraid to demand what he needed.

Randall Stokes loves Carson but didn’t express it while he was alive. A dominant, he didn’t dare dream that the sweet girl next door would do the things that he needed to find satisfaction.  When tragedy strikes, he not only has nothing to lose but a suddenly clear view into what she needs, wants, desires.  Is it too late to take what they’ve both longed for?

A ghost of a chance…

Love lingers, though his body is gone.  Can Carson and Randall find love in the Dom of the Dead?

And the six sentence sneak peek...

“Don’t cover up.”  His voice rippled in command and her hand stilled automatically, a frisson of heat licking up her spine and raising the fine hairs on her arms.

An answering throb beat an urgent tempo between her legs.

That tone, that demanding tone, was the one she fantasized him using.

Her fingers closed on the towel, a dare of sorts.

“Don’t make me punish you, Carson.”

Happy writing!

Six Sentence Sunday-The Were, The Witch and the Baby

So, this is not a sexy sneak peek.  Just a heads up.  This is a scary kinda one.  This is that moment in Raiders of the Lost Arc when Willy gets covered in bugs kind of creepy.  You were totally warned.

Without further ado, my six!

Like a wave of black, more and more ants swarmed up her legs, her arms, biting even as she fought to brush them off.
Standing, she tried harder to remove them but for every ant she succeeded in disrupting, ten more took their place.
A scream squeaked past her throat, cut off as the ants made it to her face.
Sweating, not in passion now but in terror, she tried to calm her breathing.  Still frantically trying to dislodge the angry insects, she hop stepped and kept brushing at them.
Until she stumbled over the edge of the roof.

I almost feel bad that I did that to a character.
Almost.  Wanna know how Lyric got into this mess?  You'll have to wait till The Were, The Witch and The Baby releases ;)
Happy writing!!

Six Sentence Sunday- Clothing Optional

Clothing Optional, my upcoming mmf erotic romance from MuseItUp Publishing, comes out in just a few short days (June 29th).  Right now, it is on preorder at a 20% discount here.

The Blurb:
On the rebound, Brie is thrilled at the idea of a vacation on the beaches of Florida. It will be especially great since it is with two men who are absolutely irresistible…and equally unattainable. Murphy and his boyfriend are offering the escape and maybe, if she spends enough time with them, she will be able to resist wanting to strip them every time she sees them. Murphy has always been oddly attracted to his best pal, Brie. But he has never touched a woman in that way. When his lover and boyfriend Andy suggests they make love to her, that she is perfect for them to experience a ménage, Murphy wonders if he is not enough somehow.
But the temptation of having them both…When they get to the resort and find out that “Clothing Optional” should have been in bold print on the brochure, the three of them are in for the weekend of their lives.

The Six:

Afraid to shift the scales either way, she caught her lip between her teeth in her confusion.  Then Murphy leaned down to rescue it from its prison.
Just before taking her mouth, he whispered, “I have wanted you for a while.  If you don’t feel the same way, or this is not for you, say so now.  I don’t want to lose our friendship.”
She dug her nails into his hair to bring his head closer to her mouth, their lips barely touching and her heart racing.

Like I said, you can preorder Clothing Optional now at MuseItUp. ;)
Happy Writing!

Six Sentence Sunday-Hypnotist

Today's six sentence sunday is a snippet of my coming soon story, the Hypnotist. Hypnotist is a mf erotic romance...

The blurb:
Carnie Sabatina wants to quit smoking so when her mother gives her a free trip to the hypnotist to help her meet her goal, she heads to his office with a healthy dose of skepticism. Encountering the sexiest man that she has ever met is a bonus. If he can’t help her control her impulses and stop smoking, perhaps he can fulfill some of her other cravings…

Mike Fink is at a crossroads in his life. Recovering from an unfaithful ex who left him for his best friend, he feels that his life is at a dead end. When he walks into his office and is confronted with the most luscious woman he has ever seen, a spark of hope for the future is awakened. Will he use his gift of hypnotism to tempt her? Or will his bitterness leave him alone and needing?

When a hypnotic suggestion that Carnie take risks and go after what she desires goes awry, these characters are bound for a sexy and passionate destination. Mike may be the Hypnotist but who will wind up mesmerized?

The six:

He resisted the temptation to pick her up, slam her into a wall, and take her lips.

Barely.

Her head finally tilted back and her gaze met his. Her eyes were a chocolate brown, soft and as sweet as the candy they resembled. Her cheeks were flushed, possibly with embarrassment for checking him out, and the glasses on her nose had fallen down a bit to droop.

He imagined her pitching the glasses across the room, letting that waterfall of blond fall around her shoulders and climbing his body like a monkey up a tree.

Happy writing!!

Six Sentence Sunday--Sneak Peek at Taking Control

Figured I would share a little something from one of my latest works in progress today for Six Sentence Sunday.

The blurb:

When she got voted off Find Your Hubby, a reality tv gameshow, Mellie gave up on finding love. Everyone knows that you are more likely to get hit by lightning than find a husband once you're 40. Using the last of her winnings in a spur of the moment fling, she pays for a matchmaking service that offers you the perfect person--for one night only.

When the 'perfect person' they find her is a woman, she first questions their selection service...Then her own desires.

F/F erotic
The Bachelor meets snark meets erotic on an island with chocolate. What more could you want?

The excerpt:

“Would you like to dance?”

Again, bright color flooded her dates cheeks. “I can’t dance to this kind of music, to be honest.”

The thumping tempo of the music called to Alex. “Dancing to this kind of music is easy. It is like having sex with your clothes on in a room full of people. Simple.”

Look for it coming soon...

Oh and if you liked the picture... It is from an article on CBS News about being allergic to sex and other strange allergies. Click on the pic for more info...

Until then, happy writing!
