Everyone help me welcome our guest, Heather Long, who is here to announce the long awaited follow up book that tells us what happened to Jazz!!  Always a Marine fans will love this one and if you've not yet gotten as addicted to this series as I have...then check it out!!

The emotional sequel to Retreat Hell! She Just Got Here.  Readers wished for more Jazz, Logan and Zach and the threesome are reunited when the unthinkable happens.

Always a Marine #6

Publisher: Decadent Publishing

ISBN: 978-1-61333-420-1

Release Date:  20 Nov 2012

This sixth installment of the Always a Marine series for Decadent Publishing and a first for the series, as a spinoff of Retreat Hell! She Just Got Here. Jazz, Logan and Zach met via a 1NightStand. This is the business name of an exclusive online dating service run by Madame Evangeline who provides her clients with a possibility of happily ever after or happily for now.

BLURB:
At the end of their night of frenzied passion, Jazz Winters walked away from the only two men who’d ever made her feel like a woman. Logan Cavanaugh and Zach Evans let her go, but only if she swore all her future leaves to them.

Waiting fourteen excruciatingly long months, visiting Jazz when they can, is harder on the guys that they like to admit. But their work at Mike’s Place, a veteran’s rehabilitative facility, only lets Zach and Logan go one at a time. Jazz fears their unconventional relationship can’t last a lifetime. The stress of years of military service in hot zones, combined with life-threatening injuries pushed her to the edge. But when she comes home a wounded warrior, not the woman she believes they want, Zach and Logan are right there to help her, even when she resists.

She’s not along. Whether she chooses one or both, they have no regrets and they won’t surrender.

Fun Facts

While Mike's Place in the novel is a fictitious invention, the idea for it was borne out of increasing reports of PTSD, suicide and abuse on military bases during the early part of the 2000s.

Sneak Peek Sunday- Proper Care and Feeding of a Sex God

I wanted to post seven sentences so this isn't a Six Sentence Sunday...although it is a seven.  So, here's a peek at my current project, Proper Care and Feeding of a Sex God, coming soon!!
Blurb:
Being a sex god isn't easy...

Yes has been a sex god for centuries. No one wrote stories or songs about him but they sure do remember to call out his name at the peak of pleasure. Satisfying the world by fulfilling their carnal needs, he is no stranger to Aphrodite's Island. When his sister, troublemaker that she is, calls him home for what she deems a 'special' job, he shudders to think what she could want.

Being frigid is worse...

Katie can't get off. She's determined it's physically impossible. She's tried everything--toys, men, women, flogging. It's just not happening. Finding an ad for a tropical island promising 'ultimate fantasy experiences' she figures it's worth a shot. It's not going to work, but it's worth a shot.

Passion beyond her wildest dreams...

Who knew that the one man who can trip her trigger would refuse to touch her? The more he backs off, the more he tempts her. Katie is fascinated by the man Miss A has sharing her hotel room but, although he seems attracted, he won't do the deed.

Can Katie figure out The Proper Care and Feeding of a Sex God?
Sneak Peek:
No matter how great the foreplay, a girl likes to get off. Like the icing on the cake, the chocolate chips in the cookie, an orgasm made the need to clean up after worth it.  Sex without orgasm, in Katie’s book, could be compared to a Monday without coffee.
Not that she ever got the coffee, so to speak.  Accepting her frigidity took time but now that thirty loomed, she pretty much accepted the facts of life.
Legs crossed, head resting on the back of the chair as she slouched down as far as possible, she refused to open her eyes.  You can drag a workaholic to a beach but you can’t make her vacation, damn it.

Sneak Peek-Watkin's Pond Book 2

Having just finished Watkin's Pond Book One, Runaway Groom, I planned to write a short story in between to give myself a breather between long books.

Carnie and Lou, the secondary characters from Groom aren't having it.

So, I give you, my loyal readers, a sneak peek into book two...

Enjoy!

Excerpt:

Prologue
Cold beer, hot night, fireflies dancing over the pond and his girl by his side.
Lou figured there weren’t many nights as perfect as this one.
Splashing and laughter from the water followed by silence told him his best buddy, Braxton, was getting some tonight. With his wedding just a week away, Braxton was dewy eyed over Abby constantly these days.
Lou got it. Rolling over on the blanket on the dock, he met Carnie’s eyes. Carnie left him a little dewy eyed himself lately. “You want another beer?”
Wearing an itty bitty bikini and a pair of denim shorts that just barely covered her sweet little behind, she rolled towards him, illuminated by headlights and starlight. His breath caught in his chest.
Right then he knew she was gonna be his wife. Their whole lives stretched out in front of him, like in a country song, and he could picture getting old with her, holding her through life’s little storms and loving her through a thousand nights.
He would swear, for years later, his heart stopped dead in his chest in that moment.
“No. I’m good.”
Fumbling a little, he went up on one knee above her. “Marry me, Carnie.”
Scuttling away from him, she practically fell off the dock. “What the hell?”
“I’m serious.”
“You’re drunk. Be serious, Lou.”
He knew Carnie. Seemed he spent a good chunk of the years since she moved to Jefferson watching her. Right then, she was panicked.
And that was okay. She could panic. He’d calm her down. He might have to spend awhile to warm her up to the idea but he knew now how things were gonna work out.
“I’m not drunk. Well, I’m a little drunk. Doesn’t change the fact I’m a man who knows what he wants.”
She snorted, an inelegant sound from a woman still slick from her old city home. “You want laid. So do I. Get your hillbilly butt over here and stop talking nonsense.”
Rolling her under him and back onto the blanket, he began to nuzzle the flesh he’d claimed as his own in his mind. “S’not nonsense. It’s the God’s honest truth, Carnie. I’m gonna make you my bride.”
Smacking his chest, she shoved away from him. “The hell if you will.”
“Baby—”
“Don’t you ‘baby’ me, you backwoods barbarian. I have no plans on settling for being barefoot and pregnant and bringing you pie and beer for the rest of my life. I have plans. They don’t include marriage to you.”
Standing, she grabbed her towel and began to stalk up the dock toward the trucks. “Carnie, where did you think this was headed, exactly? A woman doesn’t run off when a man offers to spend his life with her.”
Stopping, she spun, silhouetted by the headlights. “If she has a brain in her gourd, she runs. I thought we were having a good time,Lou. If you want Betty Crocker, look elsewhere.”
Laying back, he decided to let her cool off a bit. Once she thought it through, she’d see reason. He loved her. She’d admitted she loved him. If she wanted to pretend she didn’t know that ended in a double ring ceremony, fine. It wasn’t like she was going anywhere.
The only vehicles out here were his and Brax’s trucks. And Carnie wasn’t the type of woman to walk anywhere she could ride.
The sound of his truck firing up had him rolling to his feet and almost falling into the water.
As it roared away, he heard Any Man of Mine blasting from his speakers.
Damned Shania Twain strikes again.

Happy Writing!!

Sneak Peek! Rumour Has It

So, yesterday I kind of wrote a book. Yeah. I mentioned on here that I have been busy? Well, I have been too busy to write which kind of made me have loads of inspiration and need to write...but gave me no time to do so. Yesterday, finally, I let myself write a little.

And a book came out.

Rumour Has It has been an idea in the back of my head for awhile, festering and growing, so that when I sat down to write it, in one long gush it came out.

Yes, the idea behind it was inspired by the Adele song of the same name. My kids kind of hated me yesterday because the song was on repeat all day.

The excerpt below is unedited but I think it is enough to let you guys see why I love Lizzie so much. Jeremy isn't too shabby either.

But first, the blurb!

Elvis left the building a long time ago…

Liz knows that there are some things you just can’t live down. Marrying an Elvis impersonator was one of her biggest mistakes yet when he comes rolling back into town, needing a place to couch surf, she can’t say no to the father of her child.

And someone else took his place…

Jeremy has been engaged in the world’s longest long game. For thirteen years he has loved Liz and her daughter but never made a move, waiting for the right moment. When her ex-husband shows up out of the blue, he realizes it is time to put up or shut up.

But now that Elvis is back, the rumors are flying.

Jeremy makes his move, leaving Liz in a tailspin. Elvis comes back, the man she has always secretly loved is making moves…but why now? The sparks fly and the gossips mouths are running…but will Liz find the love she has been waiting for or will the small town gossips destroy her like they did so long ago?

Excerpt:

Liz made some dumb mistakes in her life...marrying an Elvis impersonator in Vegas, for instance. That shit they tell you about stuff staying in Vegas? Lies. Just sayin.

The Elvis was a guy that she knew since high school who decided he was going to be a professional poker player, moved to Vegas and became an Elvis after he was there but still…

You don’t live down being the small town girl who married Elvis. Not where Liz lived.

Small town Ohio is good for one thing. Gossip.

Slamming her car into park, Liz glared at the man outside her window. “This better be good.”

“You know I am good, baby. We had a few years solid of good and—”

Glaring at her ex-husband, the Elvis impersonator, Liz let her lips turn up in a smile that said nothing about being happy and a whole lot about being threatening. “For starters, I spent about four thousand dollars to stop having good times about a decade ago, Vernon. And call me baby again and I am gonna shove my foot up your ass sideways.”

Sneak Peek! Hypnotized ~ Adult Only

Sneak Peek- adults only- Hypnotized
Coming soon from Virginia Nelson

My internal ranting came to an abrupt halt when I entered the room hung in velvets and sparkle. It was such a jarring difference from the modern façade, the elegant waiting room, that it had me dropping my phone.

Scrabbling to pick it up, a pair of shining black shoes came into view.

Following the line of leg up, I took in dark jeans that hugged legs that looked firm and tempted me to reach out and touch. Spending too long considering his package, I wondered if he was really that endowed or if he was padding his… er… bits.

Face flushed with embarrassment, I forced myself to shoot the rest of the way up, almost toppling on my stylish, if knockoff, heels.

And I only came to his chest.

A fine chest it was, too, with shoulders at least twice as broad as my own holding up arms as thick as my thighs.

Again, worried to be caught ogling some strange man, I tilted my head back to look him in the eyes.

And I was mesmerized. He had probably the most fascinating face I had ever seen—strong, male, dusted with hair that no razor could ever fully tame. The eyes that met my own were a striking grey—almost metallic— and all of it was framed with curling black hair.

Holyfuckingmancandy.

Clearing my throat, and wishing that I could clear my blush as easily, I tried for a smile.

It probably came out a little sickly around the edges. My pulse was pounding and liquid heat had turned my body into a keg of lust that was primed to ignite.

Happy Writing!!
